To get you started, our Onboarding Team has developed this introductory checklist designed to provide understanding and get you on your feet with your EngageDS account. This should help answer any questions you may have and streamline the setup process.
Following these steps, you'll be able to launch engaging content for your location!
Understanding EngageDS
Take a moment to review this video that provides an overview of the EngageDS platform and its services offered.
Step 1: Account Setup
- Verify Login: Confirm access to the platform dashboard and ensure you have set a secure password.
- Profile Completion: Make sure the correct number of devices is showing on your dashboard.
- Invite Team Members: Ensure that other team members have their login credentials. These can be retrieved in their confirmation email.
Step 2: Connect Your Hardware
- Connect Your Device: Link your media player to your display monitors via WiFi or Ethernet, then select Start Playlist using your Spectrio-provided remote.
- Connection Status Check: Confirm all devices are showing as Online within the dashboard.
Step 3: Platform Training & Knowledge Base
- Spectrio Academy: Explore our E-Learning library for in-depth tutorials and tips designed to help you master the platform.
- Bookmark Resources: Save the EngageDS Knowledge Base link for quick access to setup guides and troubleshooting.
Step 4: Content & Asset Management
- Upload Media: Upload videos and images into your playlist.
- Organize Media: Rename your media by clicking on the edit icon.
- Review Specs: Ensure all uploaded media meets the recommended resolution and aspect ratio (EX: 1280x720).
Step 5: Create & Schedule
- Use Content Library and Channels: Use pre-created content available in EngageDS' Content Library and Channels.
- Build a Playlist: Combine your media into a sequence or loop.
- Set Scheduling Rules: Schedule when your media goes live by setting start and end dates or choosing a specific time of day.
- Preview Content: Use the Preview tool to see exactly how your content will display.
Step 6: Go Live
- Publish/Push to Live: Once content is added to your to your playlist, it will display on your TV live
- On-Site Verification: Confirm the content is playing correctly on your display screen.
- Enable Notifications: Opt-in to alerts so you are notified if a device ever goes offline.
